In May 2000, Hassan graduated from Cairo University, faculty of agriculture. In 2003, he decided to study computer science and the internet because he was curious about this new technology. The Egyptian government, in cooperation with IBM, provided him a scholarship to study on the web application track, and after 6 month of hard training he graduated with 2 international certificates (CIW 410 & CIW 430), and a certificate from IBM indicating that he had attended 900 training hour in their authorized training centers.
Hassan worked for more than 3 years in Egypt where he wrote intensive web applications. He and his company won both first and second prizes in the national competition for the best web application in Egypt in 2007.
Hassan has been a student here in Ithaca at TC3 since August 2008. His current Fulbright scholarship is fully granted by the US Department of State. In the Spring of 2009, Hassan interned at Cornell’s Law School. Hassan joined AWP in June 2009 as their PHP intern.
Hassan is addicted to soccer (he likes to play soccer more than watching it), and he played for TC3’s team while there. He believes that the French player "Zidan", was the best player in the history. Hassan plays soccer, at least 3 times per the week in TC3 with some of his friends.
